Canarm currently has an opening in its HVAC Sales Department. As a Technical Sales Representative, the successful candidate will play a critical role providing technical support to our customers. There is a possibility of this position transitioning to an Outside Sales position if there is an interest and the opportunity arises. 

Key Duties:

  •  Answering technical sales calls from customers
  •  Assisting customers with technical/product questions
  • • Recommending appropriate products as required
  • • Providing quotes and submittals as required
  • • Handling warranty calls
  • • Other duties as assigned by the HVAC Sales Manager 

Minimum requirements:

  • • College diploma or university degree in a technical program and/or Business Administration
  • • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • • Previous sales experience, knowledge of our HVAC products, and mechanical working experience are assets



Responsibilities and duties:

  • • Adding/Modifying performance data in Custom Selection Software using C# or VB
    • • Custom Executable called Delair
      • • Fan Curves
      • • Sound Data
      • • Submittals
    • • Refer to our Canarm HVAC website to download the current version of Delair
  • • Adding Parts, Operations, Assemblies, and Configurations to ERP Software(C#)
    • • Epicor 10.1
  • • Design circuit boards and controls for new products(automation)
  • • Designing 3D models using AutoDesk Inventor
  • • Creating part and assembly drawings
  • • Create SOP for new products
  • • Using Excel to calculate BOM costs of new product
  • • Providing costs to the Sales Team for customized product
  • • Providing Submittal Drawings to the Sales Team for Customized Product
  • • All other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post Secondary education in any of the following an asset:
    • Mechanical Engineering 
    • Electro-Mechanical Engineering 
    • Computer Science 
    • Electrical Engineering 
    • Electronics Engineering
  • Experience in Coding an asset, specifically C# and Visual Basic 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Punctual and reliable 
  • Must be organized and have strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • A basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems an asset
  • Understanding of computer hardware also an asset.


Key Duties:

  • Interface with trucking companies, production and purchasing departments to identify, count and receive all incoming product
  • Interface with purchasing to manage returns to suppliers
  • Inspect all incoming product to ensure defects are identified, recorded and tracked prior to reaching production areas
  • Timely processing of all associated documentation and updating of database
  • Assist Manager planning schedules and workload based on Incoming Product Schedule
  • Product packing and processing of associated shipping paperwork
  • Assist Management to review and publish price comparisons on shipments, standardize and streamline shipping operations and address customer complaints
  • All other duties as assigned by Head Shipper and Manufacturing Manager 

Minimum requirements:

  • Consistent attention to detail
  • Willingness to train as fork lift operator
  • Ability to work towards multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Shipping and Receiving experience would be an asset
